Squid and Celery Stir Fry

DSC_0172

I don’t stir fry that often, but I found this really fresh squid at the Japanese market and decided to try this recipe. This is a great light dinner if you can find some fresh squid.

Squid and Celery Stir Fry

Serves 2

Ingredients:

¼ lb. squid, cleaned, skinned and sliced thinly

1 celery stalk, diagonally sliced

2 tsp. vegetable oil

1 garlic clove, minced

¼ tsp. minced ginger

2 tsp. sake

1 tsp. soy sauce

½ tsp. sesame oil

Directions:

Heat oil in frying pan over high heat. Add garlic and ginger and sauté for 30 seconds. Add celery and squid and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Add sake, soy sauce, and season with salt and pepper. Stir well. Drizzle with sesame oil and serve over rice.
