Grilled Burgers with Tahini Sauce


Easy dinner for a weeknight, try this greek inspired burger. On the Side I served a cucumber and zucchini salad.

Grilled Burgers with Tahini Sauce

Serves 4

45 minutes


Tahini Sauce:

¼ cup tahini paste

¼ cup water

2 Tbsp. lemon juice

1 garlic clove, minced


1 lb. ground beef

1 tsp. oregano, chopped

1 tsp. thyme

1 tsp. basil

1 Tbsp. onion, minced

1 garlic clove, minced

2 pita rounds, cut in half


2 tomatoes, sliced

½ red onion, sliced

¼ feta cheese


Whisk together tahini paste, water, lemon juice, garlic, and salt, set aside. Combine ground beef with herbs, onions, garlic, salt and pepper. Shape into 4 patties. Heat grill to medium-high heat and grill each patty 5-6 minutes on each side. Form pockets out of pitas, and line each one with a lettuce leaf, tomato slices, red onion, and some tahini sauce. Add burger and top with some more tahini sauce. Sprinkle with feta cheese.
