A classic sweet breakfast that is a great way to use some of your seasonal fruit. I used some strawberries and plums for this french toast.
¼ cup milk
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
pinch of salt
4 slices white bread (baguette works great)
2 Tbsp. butter
Mix together egg, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a shallow dish. Heat skillet over medium heat with butter. While pan is heating up dip bread in egg mixture so it is covered and soaked a bit through. Place bread in skillet and cook each side till nice and brown. Serve with fruit, syrup, and dusted powder sugar.
