Chocolate Chip Cookies

These are the best cookies I have ever made! They came out perfect. I tend to make fat cookies so the recipe says 2 dozen, but for me it was more like 1 1/2. This was also for the “C” potluck.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 dozen

Ingredients:

1 cup butter, softened

1/2 cup white sugar

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Dissolve baking soda in hot water. Add to batter along with salt. Stir in flour, and chocolate chips.. Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased pans. Bake for about 12 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are nicely browned.
