Quiche with Broccoli, Spinach, Mushrooms and Bacon

Yummy quiche! Great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For lunch or dinner I would serve this with a salad. Making the crust yourself really makes a difference.

Quiche with Broccoli, Spinach, Bacon and Mushrooms

Serves 4


1 ¼ cups flour

1 stick of butter, cubed

Pinch of salt

Pinch of sugar

4 Tbsp. water

2 slices of bacon, chopped

½ onion, chopped

4 oz. mushrooms sliced

Handful of broccoli cut in small pieces

5 eggs

1/3 cup cream

1 cup shredded cheese

1 cup spinach, chopped


Mix flour, salt and sugar. Add butter and mix until there are pea sized balls. Mix water and form the dough into ball. Put into freezer until ready to use. Heat pan over medium heat and cook bacon. Use bacon grease to cook onions, mushrooms and broccoli. Preheat oven to 450. Mix eggs, cream, cooled down veggies, cheese and spinach. Roll out pastry dough into a pie pan. Put egg mixture in pie and bake for 35 minutes.
