Meatball Sliders

 

These ooey gooey delicious meatball sliders were a great snack! I made my own beef meatballs and some pie crust to wrap them up in. They work great as a hearty appetizer or just as a good snack to keep around.

 

Meatball Sliders

Serves 8

Ingredients:

8 meatballs (homemade of frozen) (Recipe below)

1 cup tomato sauce

1 can of crescent rolls or pie dough (Recipe below)
mozzarella cheese

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Separate crescent rolls into triangles. Cut eat triangle in half to form two triangles. Place slice of mozzarella cheese on top of each crescent roll, top with meatball and roll up. Bake at 375 for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown.

Italian Meatballs

Makes about 2 dozen meatballs

Ingredients:

1 onion, chopped

Olive oil

1 lb. ground beef

2 eggs

1 cup bread crumbs

¼ cup chopped parsley

½ Tbs. Italian seasoning

1 tsp. oregano

1 clove minced garlic

½ Tbs. red pepper flakes

¼ cup shredded parmesan cheese

Directions:

Heat some olive oil over medium heat and add onions. Cook onions until just browning about 7 minutes. Let them cool. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Add all ingredients into a bowl and mix. Make meatballs about 1 ½ inches across. Heat in oven for 25 minutes.

 

 

Pastry/Pie Dough

Ingredients:

1 ¼ cup flour

1 stick of butter, cut in cubes

Pinch of salt

Pinch of sugar

4 Tbsp.  cold water

Directions:

Mix butter, salt, sugar and flour until butter becomes pea size lumps. Add water to flour mixture and work just until ball is formed. Put ball in freezer for an hour. Now roll out.
